Durability and Photometry of Energy Saving Bulb

Photometry

In order to check and control the details indicated by the manufacturer regarding electrical and physical parameters our specialized test laboratory offers you the measurement of the integral spectral dissolved radiant flux and resulting parameters, e. g. light flux, light efficiency, colour temperature, colour rendition figure, effective UV-radiation power and so on.

Durability

Recently, highly appreciated European consumer organisations have carried out and published tests on Energy Saving Lamps. Emphasis was not only laid on the appraisal of the safety aspects mentioned above but also on parameters of performance. Unfortunately in many cases a clear devaluation had to be done because of considerable defects in durability and endurance properties. Our aim is, that manufacturers and suppliers have the possibility to convince themselves of the quality of their Energy Saving Lamps. Therefore we offer you a lot of different tests according to the test procedures of consumer organisations.

The two main parts of this test are: About 6,000 hours endurance test . The energy saving lamp burns for 2 hours and is switched off for 15 minutes; The switching test. The Energy saving lamp is switched 40,000 times in the cycle 5 minutes ON and 3 minutes OFF.

Before and after the tests, as well as in certain intervals during the tests, complex electrical physical and radiative measurements are carried out. With the help of them an exact location of possible weaknesses can be done. A positive result entitles you to use our Seal: "SLG endurance tested".
